About the Journal
  • Asian Journal of Urology is an international peer-reviewed journal jointly founded by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) and Second Millitary Medical Univercity (SMMU). It was launched in October 2014 and is published quarterly in English. The journal is producted by Elsevier B.V.

    Aims: It aims to promote the collaboration and understanding between clinicians and basic scientists, to provide high-level laboratory and clinical research on urological diseases and conditions, to share new discoveries, technologies, theories, and experiences on urological disease, to promote the enhancement of urological health in Asian and beyond.

    Editorial team: Prof. Yinghao Sun, prof. Leland W. K. Chung (honorary) and Prof. Michael J. Droller (honorary) are journal’s editors-in-chief. In addition, there are eight associate editors-in-chief from seven different countries. They are Prof. Per-Anders Abrahamsson, Prof. Allen W. Chiu, Prof. Mahesh Desai, Prof. Jalil Hosseini, Prof. Tom F. Lue, Prof. Seiji Naito, Prof. Arthur D. Smith, and Prof. Gyung Tak Sung. On the whole, there are 83 editorial board members from more than 20 countries and regions.

    Scope: Asian Journal of Urology focus on all specialties of urology both basically and clinically (including, but not limited to, urological oncology, endourology, calculi, female urology, erectile dysfunction, pediatrics, infertility, renal transplantation, reconstructive surgery and neurourology) with article types widely covering Original articles, Reviews and mini-reviews, Letters, Asian focus, Research highlights, Editorials, Rapid communications, Perspectives, Clinical experience, Clinical images, Commentaries, Case reports, Urological data, and so on.

    Featured column: Asian Journal of Urology would like to draw your special attention to the featured column Asian focus, which welcomes epidemiological, genetic and regional papers, as well as occupational, clinical or health policy studies from Asian countries and regions.

    Indexed and abstracted: Asian Journal of Urology has been indexed and abstracted in PubMed/PMC, ESCI, Scopus, EMBASE, DOAJ,ScienceDirect, Primo Central Index and TDOne (TDNet) already, and recent objective is to apply to be included in MEDLINE database and Science Citation Index (SCI) database.
